After 4 months of preparation, looking for the right church, venue, caterer, bridal shop, invitations, giveaways, host, songs and ideas for the wedding, some were good and some, not so but with the help from different people we were able to put together an intimate wedding. And just last Saturday it all happened, my brother got married to her lovely girlfriend of almost 6 years. It was such an emotional event for us. Witnessing all the trials and difficulties they went through and then seeing them pledge their love to each other in front of God, our families, relatives and friends is like a blissful dream that came true.
Fhang, as we fondly call her is very close to me. She is the closest thing I have for a sister, ever since my cousin Anne left the house to live with her parents again. She is the sister I never had. Growing up with two boys you can imagine how delighted I am to have a sister I can call mine. And so, with that being said I volunteered to help them in the artsy and crafty stuff of their wedding. I was the one who made the invitation and the AVP, I took part also in making the giveaways and when they requested me to sing the bridal entrance and be their wedding singer who am I to deny it. But most of all, I was the one who took their prenuptial photos. For those of you who know me, I really am not into pictorials like this, I am an avid photographer who loves to take pictures of our dear mother earth. So, this is really the first time and I hope I gave justice in showing their love for each other in these photos:

My brother have had hints that Pat, one of his best friend would be able to attend his wedding since Paul won't be able to go back home from Japan, but he wasn't really sure. Because from the time that Pat arrived back home his flight back to KSA was already booked and he said that he can no longer extend but when he found out that Paul won't be able to make it he changed his mind. He mentioned that he would ask his employer to allow him to stay for one more week. His plan was to make my brother believe that he won't re-book his ticket because it's too costly. Ron was upset and was actually telling Fhang that when the two get married we won't attend their weddings since both of them were not there on his special day. Fhang and I were like giggling inside because his reaction was just so funny. It was actually a surprise that the whole family including Tin (Pat's girlfriend who was also very close to our family) know. There was even a time that Ron was actually thinking that Pat is just messing with him because when Pat was browsing some pictures on his phone he accidentally stopped to the picture he took when he was fitting a suit, and what's more funny is that after that awkward moment he explained why he was wearing a suit without Ron asking anything. So, Ron was like figuring things out and was already really thinking that Pat was going to make it. I suggested to Pat to come back home in the afternoon or evening of the 24th since we would be staying at the hotel that day. Came June 21, the supposed date of Pat's flight back to KSA, we didn't hear anything from him and then the next day he posted this on facebook:

Ron was still speculating, because knowing Pat he likes to take pictures inside the airport and stuff but all of that speculations went down the drain when Tin texted her the night before the wedding that she will meet us at the hotel that very evening and stay there so she would not be late and that she's bringing their wedding present for him. But since it's already late Ron suggested to just come early in the morning. Came the big day, we started the day early for the video/photo coverage. Everyone was so excited. This is the day that Ron will be surprised. This is the day that he's going tell himself I knew it! And so when my husband came along with my other sibling, Pat, Tin and relatives, Ron came rushing to the window calling my cousin outside the building luckily Pat was still inside the van so my cousin was able to warned him. Then everyone got busy posing for pictures and preparing the things we need at the church then someone was at the door and it was Pat. Seeing my brother's reaction was priceless. Smile was glued on his face, and was genuinely happy that one of his best friends was there. And we were all so happy for him and for the new chapter of his life.

And by the way, this is the invitation I made for the wedding, I no longer included the other parts of the invitation, this is just for you guys to have an idea on what's inside the envelope,
These are some snaps before and during the wedding.
I have mentioned this on my instagram and facebook account how thankful we are for finding the right catering service for the wedding.
LA's Events and Catering Services did a great job for the venue set up, as you can see in the pictures below, the food was also great. Although there were inevitable circumstances, which I think all events go through, everything was just perfect for me. We are really thankful to ate Che Velez for helping us out and giving us ideas that made the event even more meaningful.

So in the end, it was a successful event. Just seeing how happy my brother and my new sister were, all the stress, tired-achy feet, sore throat and all other body pains were worth it.
* I WILL BE SHARING WITH YOU GUYS THE AVP I DID ON MY NEXT POST FOR THOSE WHO WERE NOT ABLE TO WATCH IT AT THE RECEPTION.
