Finding happiness

Every night my pillow would sleep
with the taste of melancholy
And in the comforts of this blanket
I have covered some things I've long hold

My dreams are all tucked up in bed
Dreams that might just stay as a dream
Dreams that seem to me
will only create cobwebs in my head

In my search for happiness
I found a few broken smiles
That only grew heavier until the cracks
turned into frown

The lines they threw built up a shelter

A secret only my pillow and my eyes knows

I have dwelled in this sanctuary for far too long
But still I believe in magic, in fairy tales
And wish upon a star
dreams they may have stained
But my faith they can never break

And then finally you came
The knight who freed my lonely soul
The spell that healed the thousand stitches of my heart
The potion that have transfigured me into something new

I knew the magic will soon happen
And the song that has long been paused
Would finally play on repeat again
Your words made me realize were destined to be
And none of my scars could ever made me love you less
